I believe you've all seen this. 32" DHE, 1928.

The CHE is in the 241,1xx range and is one of the last CHE's made. I found the engraving to be excellent for a very late Remington gun. It also has a checkered SST which is hard to find.

1959 or 60 fuel injected Corvette. Nice car and nice guns on this thread!

Bill Murphy 01-16-2013 12:03 PM

Nice catch on the fuel injection, Reggie. I can't tell the difference between the 58, 59, and 60 any more. Maybe Mark could tell us. My Dad's '58 was the opposite color combination of the pictured car, truly the ugliest color combination of any Corvette, and one I haven't seen except in front of our house. Silver with a red bullet.

58 has the waffle hood and the chrome strips on the trunk lid. 59 & 60 there is no difference. Exterior wise that is, that I know of.

Bill Murphy 01-16-2013 12:37 PM

My Dad paid $1800 for his '58, sold it back to the gentleman who sold it to him for the same price, about a month after I got my driver's license in 1961. It was probably a wise move on his part. My next chance at a Corvette was when my ex brought home a '68 427 for me to sell for a fellow worker at her office. The price was the same as my Dad's '58, $1800. It was the most frightening car I have ever driven except for a Griffith. I might have bought it, but the lack of power steering made me think that resale might be a problem. It sold pretty quickly.
