I'm with you Gary on Clapton very possibly being the most well-versed guitar player today but Stevie Ray ties him in blues and rock in my opinion. Chet Atkins was a fabulous country player but there were so many excellent country players I just can't choose... Back to gun rooms... I too like looking around in those pictures of folks' gun rooms to see what else is lurking in the shadows or out in full display. |

He's got to get away from that "dut-dut-daaa" that he puts in there all through his 'exercise' of cute stuff. I'd like to hear him play something real or compose his own work.
Not bad though for a beginner... He'll get there someday. |
One of the best guitar players...Jimi Hendrix:bowdown:

Oh YES!

My vote goes to Stevie Ray Vaughn

The lord works in mysterious ways. I was all set for a long planned trip to Pulaski for the steelhead run. Best fishing buddy gets sick and I'm totally bummed about making the trip alone. Low and behold water level us 3800 CFS and about (not totally) unfishable. End result is I didn't go, cut my losses, got my reloading done and the man cave is impeccable.

Sonny Landreth and Jimmy Burton.

I went to Pulaski during high water one time three or four decades ago. I hooked a big Chinook and he took off out in the current and spooled me. What a wasted trip that was.

I got spooled some years ago on the Salmon river up there. It was the most exciting fish I never caught.
