I bought some antique prints from Germany and they took forever but eventually got here. The last one had tracking going to Hamburg or someplace on November 2 and then no activity at all until it shows up at my house a week ago. Go figure.

I’m kinda curious while all my bills arrive thru the mail right on time like nothing happened . But if I’m expecting something I really want it takes the equivalent of twice the normal time and three additional days ? Don’t get me wrong I want my bills on time and paid on time just saying !!!!!

Latest purchase on it's way from Mississippi, 2 day priority mail, now on the fifth day!

I ordered an item yesterday and it should arrive today..... Amazon Prime.

I don't doubt it in the least.

If it was coming USPS, even if it was supposed to arrive the next day - I wouldn't hold my breath.

I mailed a gun to VT. I went to the Post Office Tuesday morning and asked that it get there by Friday. The postman looked and told me I would have to use 2 day express mail and guaranteed it would be there by Thursday. The gun arrived on time from CO to VT.

How does Registered Mail compare with other services for delivery time?

My Amazon orders, generally small stuff, are arriving much faster now and pretty much when they say they will. I have to go in today to pick up three orders. A friend in Idaho sent a very nice and very old railroad lantern to someone here in southeast Alaska, using two boxes, one for the lantern body, the other for the more fragile glass globe. One box arrived empty, having clearly been cut open and resealed. That was a surprise.
