This is their second gun auction. They were at the southern last year promoting their first.

I think the auction they were promoting at the Southern is the one about to happen.

Josh had lots of the auction guns in Vegas this weekend. They were exceptional. As you might expect they were getting lots of interest. He also had an equal amount of his own guns for sale. Plenty of places to park your cash!

At least a dozen tables laden with absolutely stunning guns,
each more beautiful than the last. Good luck at your auction!!

One getting particular attention was a 20 gauge Model 21 equipped with 2 sets of factory barrels.
1 set were pretty rare 30”tubes. 1 of only about 170 sets made.
It is rumored to possibly once have been owned by Fred Mertz of I Love Lucy fame.
Talk about provenance !!

I've got a M21 20 gauge with 2 sets of barrels, 26" and 28". A couple of things make this gun interesting is that it has 3" chambers in both sets of barrels and the factory work sheets describe it as a Skeet Grade. It matches the skeet grade specifications perfectly except they forgot to inscribe "Skeet" on the floorplate. The only wart the gun has, IMHO, is that it was reblued at some time, and could have been done better

I think you’re incorrect I know of no other Guyette and Deeter firearms auction . They did have a few pre 1898 things at the decoy auction in Easton in 2021 . The other auction that had Charlie Hunters stuff was in Mount Crawford VA in 2021 but that was with a different auction company . At the Southern in 2022 they were promoting the auction coming up February 4th of this year .

Sounds like someone has some “splaining” to do.

I do believe you are correct. I see that they are describing this as their “inaugural” gun auction.

There are some beautiful guns listed and I wish them much success in this endeavor. I did notice the starting bids on many of the guns are quite aggressive. I think this follows a pattern of gun auctions becoming more of a retail purchasing environment, with bidder access to a great deal of information. I’ll be interested to see how this auction plays out. Best of luck to all in bidding!
