My wife and I were there early and asked at the front table about the PGCA but the gentleman was not helpful. We looked for Edgar at table M-27 but didn't know at the time that he was at M-24. We didn't know where to look for anyone else. Hope to meet up with you all at the Southern SxS.

There is not an official presence of the PGCA at the Baltimore Show. Over the years, I have tried to give a prelude to the show on this forum so that everyone could visit and maybe buy and sell guns from each other. This year is another example of the chaos of trying to "get together". I always give the exact table numbers of Kevin McCormack and Bill Murphy, and I did this year as I have for probably a decade or more. Mr. Edgar Spencer posted his approximate table location, although it wasn't like a GPS site. Now I know the table number. The other PGCA guys did not respond to help us locate them, even though there was plenty of notice. Oh well, I guess the PGCA isn't what it once was. Next year, I will give you exact table locations of PGCA guys, which I have recorded. As far as joining them for dinner, "Good Luck". Setting up a dinner for club members is a really hard project and no one likes to do it. If you want to meet anyone for dinner, you have to approach them personally. No one is going to turn you down.

A pristine Half Frame, and Elder Statesman, Allan Swanson, checking the daily commodities market. He's still hoping Parkers will be listed just before Pork Bellies.
Bill and Kevin, et al, had a wonderful Winchester 21 display.

There were loads of PGCA members in attendance, and I was delighted to put faces to names, albeit some of the faces were pretty tired looking, even if all were smiling. There may have, in fact, been more members than Parkers. Many tired looking examples, mixed in with some treasures. Jerry Smith's pair of grade 1, 0 frame 16s was a treat. Clearly the guy needs an intervention, as they were 'for sale'. Allan Swanson's Grade 5 Hammer 12 was perhaps the nicest original I've ever seen. No dummies in VT; the sign below it said NFS.
Some family came to visit so I wasn't able to hook up with Daryl and group for dinner, but we had a good visit, and I take back nearly everything bad I ever thought about him. It was also very handy to have the official PGCA Researcher in the booth with us. He left a lovely 12 bore lifter with me, which he actually thinks I'm going to give back. Hehe
As always, I'm looking forward to next year. I enjoy the gunshow tremendously, but the visiting and rag chewing is what it's all about. Selling is fun, as long there's also something to buy. I was in the black pretty admirably Saturday afternoon, until I saw a Winchester I had been obsessing about for 2 years, then I was back in the red by 4 large. As is usually the case, there's a flurry Sunday afternoon and I was back in the black pretty well. Even enough to give my wife the grand for the stuff I sold for her (I am so lucky to have married the daughter of a gun guy)

I did, but it took me three trips back to his table, because each time I went, I forgot why I was there after handling the gun.

The sn was 241889, 28" VHE, 90% original color.

I have never previously had an urge to buy a Remington gun. I sure did this trip. In fact, I'm not sure why I didn't.

Nearly everything you thought bad about me? That's a compliment coming from you.:rolleyes: I did enjoy our visit and am looking forward to the Southern when I can really torture you over a period of a couple days, of course that long ride with George might break your spirit a bit and you will be easier to break. Sorry we could'nt do dinner but I had a nice time with Bob Rambler and Sandy. Next year pencil in Fri. evening for dinner. Good to see everyone again and thanks to Kevin for the fine job he did on my case. Hopefully Chuck will post about his "new" hammer gun he acquired from Mr. Swanson and will use it to thrash the LC boys in April. Hey Bill what ever happened to that 24" 28ga? Nice display on the 21's guys!

Daryl, We went to the Silver Springs Mining Co. I just didn't think my nephew had the fortitude to endure you and I bantering. We will do it next year, Promise.
As for the Southern, I have flip-flopped a dozen times, and I'm still unsure.
Can you do a mini-torture in Harrisburg? I realize trying to condense 4 days into 2 may be unfair to your finely honed technique. Practice....

Eggar,as we discussed going through a divorce gave me plenty of insight on torture but I'm sure I can condense enough to satisfy our twisted relationship at Harrisburg. Mere childs' play my friend. Glad you made it back safely. You won't regret coming down to the Southern in April so really consider it. By the way, what was the price on that 1/2 frame?

Edgar, The Maple Syrup on pancakes Sunday morning was AWSOME!
The wife and I had a great time visiting with old friends and meeting new ones like Edgar.
The show as always was a great place to view and fondle lots of double guns.
Our day was topped off with a great dinner at Michael's with Daryle and his gal.
Looking forward to seeing many of these friends on a clays course somewhere in the coming weeks/months:)
