Hi all,
I am new to the forum but I have a question some of you may have an answer. Can different frame size barrels be fit to a smaller receiver? I assume if you have a #1 frame and wanted a second set of barrels you would have to find a #1 size and have them fit??? Also, is there any source for Parker replacement barrels?
Thanks for any info,
Harry Reed

Page 527 of The Parker Story gives the exact specifications of each size of Parker frame. Firing pin separation is one important limiting factor in the fitting of one size of Parker barrels to a matching or non matching frame size. Notice I said "one limiting factor", not the only one. The pin separation of #1/2 and #1 frames is the same. Also, the pin separation of #1 1/2 and #2 frames is the same. I have a set of #1 barrels on a #1/2 frame gun and things look pretty good. I have never tried the #1 1/2 to #2 conversion, but that might work too.

Thanks for the info Bill. Barrels seem to be a difficult find. Larger sizes more available then smaller.

A good friend with the same name as a famous gay movie director uses his name to advantage when making hard to get restaurant reservations. I got a chuckle the first time waitstaff seemed to gush over him. He is one of us and owns a gun pictured in TPS.

Your reply reminds me how much people are like Parkers. They appear to be one thing on the surface, then we take an interest in one, research it and begin to find a history on it that is unique and interesting. Then the questions??? Why did this mod or that mod take place??? And before you know it, we have a connection with history. Wow, didn't mean to ramble. Enjoy your Parker as it is a small piece of history. Every Parker is built so similar so consistant, but yet each is so unique and so different.

Determine the quality of a item is but the first step, but only judge after a full inspection & discovery of the details. God, not the devil, is in the details! Works for people, dogs, cars, guns, & virtually all else. ( except certain cruise ships?)
