A parts gun surfaced. Lots was missing. But...... the barrels fit into frame 145522. My search has ended (for the time being) to get barrels for my Dad's VH that became an 18" coach gun in 2003. (Quite the trim from 32"). Now 144444 is only 30" but that gets me shooting Dad's gun again. Maybe one day a set of 32" will show up. I have bought a few "junkers" in the hopes of having a set of "drop 'em in" barrels, but to no avail. Those were whole guns with all matching numbers so you know what happens. 144444 was missing a lot, so it is not a gun to be rebuilt. I have a few guns waiting to chase upland in October. Choices, choices. Tough job, but someone has to do it. Cheers, Jack

I've only had the good fortune of finding a set of barrels to Fit another frame without alteration once. I did swap the cocking hook from the original set of barrels to the replacement set. Great find.

Yes, a rare find. But I have had it happen before. Your serial numbers are pretty close though, which helps.
