Life is good. 70 degrees yesterday and spent the day chasing birds. It is raining today so I thought I would share a few pictures. Since I was shooting my A10 I thought I would include a picture of a hunt from a few weeks ago where we were also shooting a Parker.

Only 3 more weeks of quail season, then a long dry spell.

Phil-- Nice male Mearns! Along with a couple of friends we hunted out of Patagonia in mid Deember and had a nice hunt. Hard flying birds for sure and not easily taken. Congratulations on your hunt!
One morning we were hunting near the Mexican border fence and saw a Mountain Lion on the Mexican border side---an extra bonus just to see one these days. Saw about as many border guards as we did quail...

Well last week it was in the teens here during the early morning hours. Most of the tanks we hunt ducks on had frozen over. Could not find many ducks. A week later it is 50 degrees warmer.

Charlie, good call on the Plymouth. A Ford is very similar but doesn't have the slant to the quarter windows that the Plymouth does. Phil Carr and Bill Mullins, you are "da man". This time of year, we should be out west sweating it out on the border.

Thanks for the information on the car, we were wondering what it might be.
Going out again tomorrow for the next 3 days, weather permitting. Bill you are right about sweating. Humping those hills along the border looks like easy walking in those oak and grass rolling hills, they can be deceiving.
I must say Retirement is tough. I just need some help thinking up things to tell the wife that I have been busy doing all day, when she comes home from work....

Thats an easy one. Wife: Honey what have you done today? Reply I went to the health food place and got us dinner. Then show her the birds.

Wives and bird dogs have similiar traits and it's all in how there trained:whistle:

It's a lot easier to housebreak your birddog than your wife. The dogs don't care how the furniture is arranged and don't need new cabinets every 10 years.:)

You never had to train the wife not to pee on the carpet:rotf:

I came home late one night, didn't turn a light on and went to sit in the chair...it wasn't there. She woke up when I hit the floor and started cussing!

Well, someone trained them not to pee on the carpet. We just got them after their basic obedience training was done.
