Other than the dogs (and they have been let out and are running loose) Parkers other major engraveing theme was birds. Now that we have seen the dogs lets see the birds they hunt. These are from a GHE 16 two bbl set AKA The Hollywood Gun.

IMHO some of the most tasteful engraving on any American shotgun.
Shame 'bout the new fangled barrels though

Outstanding C grade, Chuck.
Another Rem Parker, CHE 12/28 SN 241,601.
Sometimes people will contend that Rem Parkers had just the same engraving styles as Parker Bros made guns but the engraving was inferior. These three C grade Remington Parkers shown in this thread , in my opinion, demonstrate otherwise.

Bruce - Great gun -- I think the early high grades and late remington guns are the pinnacle of parker engraving. These late remington C grades are something special. Look at Russ jacksons Che 20ga - just beautiful - Now if I could just convince him to part with it!

Todd I call it the The Hollywood Gun because it came from Alex Kerr a dealer to the stars and other assorted well to do's in Beverly Hills, Ca. The gun was ordered through Marshal Field for a Major General William Bradford as a two barrel skt/trap set. Who did the engraveing as its finer than a std G grade is a mystery. This was done towards the end of production and maybe he wanted this combination in a higher grade which wasn't available and this was the outcome who knows but it has all the options available including two BTF's.
This is from a 16ga O frame hammer gun....look familiar Edgar?

Kurt - is that a Bernard gun? Both barrel sets?
Yes Sir. There are a few pictures of it on the forum. Shot a Turkey with it last spring. Did a little rough shooting (pheasants) with the 10ga bbls a couple of weeks ago. Loaded up a 1 3/8 oz load that Mark O. recommended. The loads worked out really well. Too bad I was too busy hunting to take pictures.

Frank, inquiring minds want to know - "What the heck happened to that BHE Repro?" Who would do such a thing?

Dean from what I was told by the fellow I got it from in a yard sale was that it was the result of a jealous wife!!! Lol ! No he said it was a buy back gun !!! He didn't have any other internal parts just the frame !! I'm trying to figure how to have it welded back up but I doubt it can be done !! Oh yea I also have a DHE 20 repo cut the same way! That one has all internal parts ! I shake my head everytime I look at them !! I ask the same thing who could do this to these guns ! But maybe there is more to the story on how they got there but the law says no ? Asked and they must be destroyed!!!
