went to the gun show at tupelo this morning this is what i saw of interest...gun show was a lot smaller than usal but that was because of a big gun show in JACKSON MISS. there was a lot more people at the show than normal elbow to elbow...seen a lot of folks bringingto the show their sks and such type guns from home to sell...only thing i could think was that while porices are up for these guns they were gonna cash in..but i did not see many of them change owners...was lots of ammo being bought but 2 high i thought most sks rounds were about a dollar a piece..did not see any 223 rounds for sale odd i thought...mostlky black shotgunsand rifles..there was 2 parker 20 ga s there both were vh grade one with 28 inch barrels in average hunting shape 1500.i thought this to be a fair price range... next gun was a vh with 26 inch barrels believe them to be cut..this was by the worst treated parker shotgun ive ever seen.it had surface rust all over the stock had been replaced and for you boys that break them in the grip section well you did not have to worry about breaking this one..it was very very thick in that section and hada rubber pad that look like the rats had been chewing on it..believe me this gun wasin a sad state..now it had fair barrels and the fore arm i believe must have been in a fire at one time...really scarred up...when i ask the guy to cut the plastic tie on it he did...he made the remark dont pinch yourself i thought this odd but it did not take long for me to see what he was talking about...that thing was the wore outest action i ever seen on any gun...the price was 550 i looked at it even a secound time but figured it was one of them money pitts you fellas talk about... i seen several nice lc smiths all field grade and way over priced. i see a coupla nice model 12 winchester 16 ga and 20 ga at 600 apiece then spotted a model 12 12 ga with a ventalated rib and the niceest wood ive seen on a model 12 the price on it was 850.if i only did not have a model 12...this gun was nice...seen a lot of old winchesters rifles with big prices on them. but seen one that really caught my eye it was a 38-40 26 inch round barrelhad a most unique peep sight on it had a little cover over the peep hole if you wanted to make the peep hole bigger or smaller you could...my first of this sight with this feature..and gun still had lot s of case colors wood was really good...it was a plain jane but this thing was by far the best untouched winscester ive seen..price was 1450...last was 4 ruger pistols with the birde eye handles on them they were nichol or chrome 4 inch barrel these were new in the box..they were in the 32 hr magnum configuration.dealers said made only one year..450 for them... forgotto mention seen a 28 ga over and under of some brand that was built well and had good wood on it for 550 and the last thing that turned my head was a stevens model 24 over and under 22-410 withe the plastic stock and fore endand the little selector switch on the side was still on it...375 i almost took this one home... charlie
