Trust me, It doesn't happen often.
As this otherwise disappointing year draws to a close, I'd just like to take a moment to thank all the PGCA members who have given me such a fun time. The Spring Fun Shoot at Adieville, the Vintagers, the Southern; they were all such a great time in my post working life, and I have so much fun with the tongue-in-cheek banter that goes on between us. I hope we don't frustrate, bore, or offend the other, more civilized members, but It occurred to me a while back when I was taking stock of my life, that friends and the interactions with them are what very well may be the last memories we have when we check out. We're dead for such a long time, so I want to have a stockpile to reflect on, and I honestly can't think of a group I have had more pleasure in being a part of. Thank you all and may the next year be the best one yet.

Egger, I remember you walking up to us at the Stamford Show last year and very meekly introducing yourself. God if we had only known! Even though you weren't feeling well you took the time to come on down and meet us all and that speaks volumes. This past year we have become friends and I consider that a privilege. You are truly a man of many talents. Our trip to the Fall Southern was memorable but you just need to learn how to run peoples bumpers better.....:rotf: See ya next weekend....

You know when you are up before daylight, and having that first cup of coffee, we do not watch the sunrise. Well this morning I was contemplating the new year and what it may hold, I noticed this bright orange light reflecting on the wall. Closer examination revealed a beautiful sunrise fitting for a new year full of hope and anticipation. It is not the best set of photo;s but it was special to me anyway Gary

Dave, if you will recall, I had been out of the hospital only about 2 weeks, and I had just lost 18-20 pounds. Before getting sick, I was strong as an ox, and as big as one too. Almost like Dean. Well, no, that's an exaggeration, but still a lot healthier than I would be for the next few months.
You're right; just a year ago. You were ever so welcoming, and promptly introduced me to Dean and Larry. I had no idea you would become such a pain in my butt, That Larry would eventually loose his memory of people's names, and Dean would become such a ball of fire. Who would have guessed it? He was as exciting as an overworked funeral director. I think meeting the three of you all on the same day was just below my critical mass level, and had George been there too, it would have been well beyond the tipping point. On a lighter note though, you guys do make the organization, and my input is about as useful as a two lane road in a one horse town. I still tell people how you went out of your way to bring me a cup of coffee. Considering how fast you drive, I still can't figure why the coffee was cold. Really, did you buy it in Stratford, the day before?

That's no coyote, Edgar. It's our trademarked NUTRISYSTEM fox. Legend has it, he was trapped just outside of Meriden and was hand-fed a steady diet of
"flying turnips".........LOL!!

So I hear you and Purtill will be joining forces with the other Three Stooges, on Saturday??? God help me. I can only hope the show organizer adheres to the city regulations on proper booth spacing!! Ahhh, it won't really matter. Once you wrap your hands around some high-grade, Philly iron ore, Cherry St. will be little more than a distant memory!!

You are aware that iron ore, Philly or otherwise, along with coke and limestone, is the basic ingredient to plain, ordinary and boring cast iron. Steels such as Vulcan, Titanic, Acme, Peerless and Whitworth are alloyed and refined. Their only similarity is that they began life as iron ore, but grew up. Kinda like a good Mushroom. They grow them in chicken manure. The mushroom is considered a delicacy and gets picked, but manure, well, it just stays manure.
