On the "other forum" there is a link to an A1 2 barrel set that will be coming up for sale on the 12th. Is this gun a "known" A1 or a newly discovered one? I don't have my TPS handy to check.

It's in the serialization book as A1 Special.

If it came out of the UK, it's most likely a "new" find. Just the way we would order a 12 gauge today, two sets of 30" barrels. Maybe Diggory Hadoke will bring it home to us. He seems to know how to fight the fight.

there is a link on the top of the page to San Fransico as the auction site - is it in the UK or still here?

I saw that. It appears to be in the San Francisco sale.

Bill: It is in the San Francisco Bonham's & Butterfields sale and, most probably, never made it overseas. I received the printed catalogue this week & there are a very few double guns in the sale.

It just kills me to see an A-1 wearing that rubber recoil pad. It's like a Ferrari with mudflaps.

It may be a A-1 Special, but it is not that "special" to me. All deep relief, but the engraving is not that exciting. Took more time than talent.
