I have been looking for a particular 28ga non-parker for over a year now. Finally, I found one in small shop in WI and made the 2 hour drive in the morning today.

The particular store has a 12 ga DHE for sale. It is 1912 or 1913 gun (can't recall exact dates/numbers) in original condition with appropriate wear, used but not aboused. What makes this gun special (IMO) is that in 1913 (?) was sent back to have shorten stock back to Parker. The gun comes with a letter from Parker (dated 1913-14?) when this was done. The letter is over a page long, detailing the work in and how the gun was patterned. I did not read the entire letter as I was running out of time. This is all typed, the ink now is purple/dark pink and it is signed at the end by someone from Parker. In addition, there is original sale tag. Finally, the guns comes with ORIGINAL 1912 Parker catalog, some pages got loose but in overall very good condition. The front cover has pine tree with pine cones. At least that is what it looks to me.

The shorten stock when came back from Parker has "mont-carlo" ish look to it with metal parker but plate.

The particular gun store in general is really small, it is an extension on the house and only two people can fit in at a time. The owners knows that this is the Parker and I think is asking fair price, with all the extras, comparing to other websites of known "Parker" dealers.

I do not want to start another dispute on "non sell" policy so PM me privately for the store name/location/current price.

Also, the owner is a man in his 70s which does not take credit cards. I doubt he owns digital camera. I am going back on Fri to pick up my 28ga (we have waiting period) so if someone want me to look at something specific, I'll be glad to do so.
