A 7 frame with 32 inch barrels and .006 chokes makes it sound like the tubes might have been a bit longer at one time.....

Someone should inquire about the serial number so the barrel length can be proved right or wrong.

bills rite maybe we can get a serial no and find the lenth of these barrels..im beginning to believe that most 8 ga were not choked as tight as the smaller bores just my opinion...ray marzerellia spoke of this in another thread.sorry bout the spelling ray...whats your imput on this bill...do you think the 8 ga were choked as tight as smaller bore guns...bet destrey can help us out here too...never thought much about this but ive read a lot about the english 8 bores and look at their gun sites and most of them are choked modiefied down to about imp cly..they use 3/4 choke or 1/4 choke on most barrel markings...this would be an interesting articule in parker pages.... charlie

a lot of the numbers are missing from the book, but if you browse through the few 153xxx 8 gauges listed in the book, most are D or 3 grade - one is a 2 grade - all the listed ones are 36 inch barrels.

My 36" PH is choked 41/000 left, 44/000 right. I do not know the chokes on my 34" hammered V equivalent, bit the barrel ends are very thick, so I'm assuming full chokes also.

One of our members has a hammer D grade Titanic barrel eight with 36 inch barrels bored cylinder and full, from the factory. I don't know what the gun was ordered to shoot at, but it was delivered to an address in Death Valley.
