This is my first post on the forum. I have begun repair/restore on another beautiful old Parker. I have built many rifles but only last year started working on shotguns. I have built custom stocks for many years for love and learning for myself and some of my closest friends. A Parker shotgun rapidly becomes your first love when looked at for it's machining and woodwork. An amazing tool that brings back a longing for the old "American" way of doing things. I have begun repairs to an 1892 Parker GH that has seen some less than gentle handling. The wear plate may need some enhancement but I am analyzing the issues for a while. This will be a labor of love. :)

It is a GHE and now that the heat and alcohol have revealed a decent piece of wood, I have to decide if I need to do a better repair on the wrist than was done many years ago.

thanks Charlie, I have been a wood butcher for many years but have had a deep passion for gunstocks due to the beautiful, functional art they represent. I have built a number of early American KY longrifles (rev war era) but my passion encompasses old doubles the most. Hope we all grow together. Again thanks to all.
