I bought an old Parker Double barrel shotgun at an auction for a wall hanger in my office. The Hammers will not stay back, but that didn't matter, I never intended to shoot it. It may have other firing issues that I don't know about.
Several people have made me offers for the gun that are tempting. The serial number for the gun is 2006. It has some rough areas on the wood, but no major cracks. The metal is in pretty good shape for an old gun, no rust. I don't know if it worth $100 or $1000. I'm not a wealthy person, so I would consider trading or selling, but I need to know some type of price range of it's value. Any help would be appreciated. I have pictures on my computer I can E-mail or text.

John, go to the main PGCA web page www.parkerguns.org (http://www.parkerguns.org) and on the left side is a list which are in fact links to other pages. Click on and read over the "Parker Identification" and the "Grades" pages and see if you can ID the grade of the gun.... Assuming it is a Parker Bros. gun.
Read the "Parker FAQ" link too, there is some good information in there that may help you learn about your gun.

John Flaherty, it is against the rules of forum to attempt to offer for sale or accept bids for a gun if you are not a PGCA Member. Please delete your posts.

I think this points out the difficulty of the Forum's sale policy. A person comes in looking for help and gets an elbow in the ribs. Now he's got sore ribs and the PGCA has a black eye, IMHO

I apologize to anyone who may feel insulted by my post but see for yourself how this looks. To me he is saying it is for trade or sale and that is what is specifically forbidden.
Hey, I'm not the forum police and don't even want the job...

I don't consider it anything like a black eye for the organization. I sell things on the site and I pay my yearly dues so I can do it.
Them's the rules so they say, you wanna sell, you gotta be a member of the PGCA.
Hey I'm a poet and don't know it.

The only PGCA member by that last name is Marie Parker Flaherty. Is that your wife or daughter?

I suspect the confusion arises from the term "member". It may not be readily apparent to a newcomer that there is a difference between a PGCA forum member and a PCGA member
