Would have been nice if the seller would have supplied the serial number and/or pictures of the end so we could have looked it up or had a degree of certainty that it hadn't been bobbed as there's not much choke there if the bore is the normal .615.

I sent a PM to the guy asking if he would send me the serial number so I could confirm the length of the barrels. He responded that since there was choke in the barrels they have not been cut. I then ask if he would post pictures of the end of the rib and the front of the barrels....no response.
The receiver looks a little rough to me as do the barrels, regardless of whether or not they have been cut. I'm thinking he has $1,000 in parts, not a $1,500 "bird gun."

Rich, I have a project. I just bought a 25 DTI upper.
This is a 6.8 SPC cartridge, necked down to 25 caliber, with the shoulder pushed out to 30 degrees. It's a wildcat that I have to work up a yote killing load for. No I haven't killed any yotes yet, but thought I might give it a try this winter. Would also work great on p-dogs, should I ever make it out west again.

Well, my money is staying in my pocket then. I noticed he was careful not to post the serial number in the pictures and now he won't address a direct question. Think there's a message there.

I don't see the value in it for $1500 even if he threw in the "exhibition" wood. The barrels are lightly pitted and it will cost at least $3000 for someone to stock it, now you have $4500 in a restocked VH with other questionable properties.
