The guy's from New Hampshire got me to thinking and besides I needed a little project. Jogging stroller $15.00 on Craigs List. Kolpin Rhino Grips at Cabelas $30.00 2 3" ABS pipe caps Ace Hardware $8.00 and about two hours of my time. The idea was to make it as light as possible. And we have cup holders and hood ornament! And it will hold everything from the little 26" 28 gauge to the big 32" 12 gauge.

Nice job Dave! I lack the talent and skill necessary to make one but soon I should be getting a check to buy one pre-made :-)

Nice looking trap gun there, Dave. Is that one of those rare and valuable VHE Grades?

Ya Bill...Sure is! The more I shoot that gun the more I find out how good she is. I shot it this year at the Challenge with spreaders on both courses and this great gun perfomed very well.

Thanks to those who offered positive responses to my cart...and for the rest of you....well you know....

I still need to figure out a good way to mount a mesh bag or something for hulls. Suggestions are welcome..I'm drawing a blank right now..

Suggestions?? Sure Dave... How about mounting a bunch more Rhino Grips so your friends can go shooting with you and not have to carry their own guns? At least Larry is thoughtful enough to haul everybody's guns in his cart... and he even keeps up with us as he puts his shoulder into the backside of the cart on the uphill grades at Hausmann's. Now why can't you be a good sport like Larry?? :corn:

The bag goes on the back where it belongs. Clips on. After the Southern I decided I needed a cart. Put this together when I got home (Wisconsin--fly over to some). Some of it came out of the STUFF BOX mentioned on other posts. The rest garage sale and Gander. Big and small guns all fit.

Gary, Nice Cart! I just ordered some military black mesh material for a custom hull bag. We will see how that works out.

Gary, that's some interesting stock carving on the Parker with the dog's head butt plate. I'm sure we've seen it before but would you mind posting a picture of each side?

Thanks Dean. Here it is. It's a GHE 20 ga. with no stock book info available. I posted it three years ago hoping someone would recognize the carver. It was done in the Oregon, Ill area. No luck so far.

I like it a lot! I remember that carving from the first time - those dogs are wonderful! Hmmm... done in 1932... what year was the gun made? Maybe it belonged to Gary Carmichael... I see his initials on the right side of the stock.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread Dave.

The gun was made in 1929 and was bought new by the late George Chensky. I purchased it from the estate. The initials GC match mine.

Ok, i know this is pulling up an old thread,

But i had to share this

All this aluminium tubing and nylon cloth might be alright for these new fangled "hammerless" guns -but if you want your hammer top lever or better yet lifter to ride in style - here is your starting point

Jogging the 19th century way
