We really have a lot of fun at the Lapeer Michigan SxS shoots! The next SxS shoot will be on 11 August. The entry fee is low and spirits always are high!

The following are photos of last summer’s shoot:

Yours truly set up a Parker Gun Collectors Association display

There will be spirits there??? I'm not a big fan of Gohsts but the liquid spirits I'm in favor of.:)
With a little luck Gunner's Parker will make it's debut there.

Rich,

As always the club's bar will open when the shooting slows down. Anyone buying a beer will have their hand stamped in case they might forget that guns and alcohol do not mix! It's a great process.

 I'm shocked that this practice became necessary

I suppose that "where there's a will there's a way" and the 'will' must be dealt with.

I don't consider beer as spirits, but do agree that the guns should be put away first.

COB, I had a long paragraph typed about what kind of a safety conscious, stand-up guy you are and that you've been around the block once or twice and would never ever consider jeopardizing anyone's safety for any reason.... but I deleted it and made the post I did. I thought most of the guys here know you at least a little bit and COB doesn't need anyone defending him (just yet)... was I right?

You are correct my friend. Mark missed the jab about the spirit of friendship at the shoot. I was trying to have a little fun at his expense but it just didn't work out. Oh well better luck next time:rotf:

It was a hot day yesterday and my brain was empty... :)

I gave the legal response so that strangers would not bad of us.

So Dean, do you need a place to stay when you come to the shoot at Lapeer? :)

I picked up a couple new 16ga, now i have to figure out what to shoot out in lapeer.

Bring them all we can sort it out later. I have an English 16ga hammergun thats new and I might bring that VS the hollywood gun. In a perfect world Gunner's Parker will be done and I'll shoot that. I wouldn't mind shooting that 30 inch 16ga hammer gun of yours on the 5 stand...hint...hint:rotf:

Hehe, I might bring that again. I picked up a "closet queen" DHE 16ga, and two GH 16's. I'm hoping to shoot the DHE if I get the barrels back in time.

Did you buy that GH damascuss that was at the last shoot? I found a high condition DHE 16 also, it's a transition gun 28 inch bbls, PG, Spl, DT. I figured I might need trading material some time.

No I found another, a little better shape, they have 28" and the other has 30" dam barrels, My DHE was all original, with a spectacular piece of wood. Barrels are out at bachelders for dam pattern refinish.

Hi Paul,

Please bring your new Parker 16 gauge to the Lapeer Michigan SxS shoot on 11 August. You are welcome to set it up on the Parker display table for all to admire.

See you there!

We moved the Pigeon ring so it and 5-stand can run at the same time. Hope to see everyone. Paul

It doesn't look like the DHE 16 barrels will be done in time so I may bring one of the other new ones I picked up.
