I have no interest in this auction. But I am always curious where the current Parker market for high condition guns with desireable features is, as compared to the Blue Book. This DHE 16nr, if it is in fact in high original condition as described, should fetch a small fortune. I have noticed over the years that collectible doubles consistently bring higher prices on this auction site as compared to GB. Not sure why that seems to be the pattern...in any event, here's the link to the no reserve Parker DHE 16 gauge auction....

It will sell for what one person will be willing to pay, which will be approximately twenty dollars more than anyone else will be willing to pay. Several of "us" already own a nice DHE 16, so we have no interest in the auction gun, so bidding will be light.

I have more than one 16 and one close to this in condition. I would guess this will bring $7K+ befor its all over.

There are deals to be had on this auction site but it still has 10 days or so to go. Methinks it will go high on the last day. ..... $7K. Just my guess.

According to my Blue Book, which is a year out of date, if this is indeed a 90% original DHE 16 gauge, it should go for between $10,625 and $12,750....of course, if this specimen is deemed to be more or less than the 90% overall condition I've arbitrarily assigned, the BB value would vary dramatically. I'm thinking it will sell in the $6K range, as the BB is currently far over the market. We shall wait and see...anyone predicting that it will sell for full BB value, or more?
