Hi folks,
I would like to take a minute an apologize to those who are PGCA Members - and those who wanted to become new PGCA Members or renew their memberships over the past week or so....
You see - for years, Mary and I have used my PayPal to get it done for the PGCA. Recently, however, we tried to move the PGCA payments to a new PGCA PayPal Account - which, the BOD wanted to set up. Unfortunately - that didn't work out as well as they had hoped, especially if you tried to pay with a credit card.
Anyway - long story short - I'm going back to the PayPal that worked for years. So, if you tried to join the PGCA or renew, you should be now (again (???)) "good to go".
In the meantime, Mary Bowes and myself would like to apologize to each and every one of you who attempted to support the organization over the past week. And again - you should be all set if you want to renew/join by clicking here:

Mary & I will get you folks square ASAP...
My thanks and best to all,
John

Thank you, John. I'll be waiting to process any and all payments we receive thru your personal Paypal account. I'm sorry the PGCA account didn't work out as well as we had hoped. Together, we'll get all memberships processed on a timely basis.
Lastly, I would like to ask all members to let us know if you are having a problem joining or renewing online. We will be glad to help you thru the process.
Mary

And we thought you two were perfect.
You are apologizing for a week's delay? My gosh! No apology needed and none accepted. Thanks to both for your efforts.
But the board is right, we shouldn't have to do business through any person's personal account. I'm sure with the talent we have that we can figure a way to conduct the business of a business on a business basis.

Karl,
Just got your Membership - and thank you! My servers have already "upgraded" your status to "PGCA Member" for which I thank you!!!
As well - I've forwarded your info to the wonderful "Miss Mary", so I know you will hear from her shortly (if you haven't already, as I was talking to her on the phone ;) )
My thanks again - and best to you!

John and Mary...
It is impossible to find fault with either of you, and your very humble apology just more clearly underscores the fact that there are no more dedicated or better people we could entrust with the very important tasks you both perform on a daily basis.
Yeah, what Bruce said... a week?? Ha!! That's nothin' !!

Thanks Dean!
But.......
For something that is suppossed to work in seconds (becoming a PCCA Member on the Forum link), a single hour feels like a month and a week like a year. While many send in checks via US postal service, much of the PGCAs growth over the past two+ years has been from the on-line memberships. Those folks rely on Mary and I to get it right. No excuses.
For that, when the new PCGA account didn't work outside our responsibility and pervue, both Mary and myself take it personally. Mary's name is on the PGCA Memberships and my name is on the PGCA website.
So, while I can say thank-you, please understand that both Mary and I take this thing called the PGCA quite personally.
While it's not ours, both of us try to treat it in a professionial and personal manner - just as if we were trying to belong to this same organization ourselves.
My thanks and best to you,
John

Yup, we know that about you both. Nobody works harder or cares more for this organization than you do. Words aren't enough - so I'll just shut up now.

Yup, we know that about you both. Nobody works harder or cares more for this organization than you do....From my end of the telescope, I believe you are in that same category given your dedication and countless hours producing Parker Pages. You had some pretty large shoes to fill, after Austin Hogan turned our publication into something beyond incredible.
You, too, Sir, deserve more than a tip of the hat for all you have done, for you not only met that expectation, but rather exceeded the same.... That is to your credit, Sir.
And for another "tip of the brim", Chuck, who recently stepped in for Mark....
To you two - you have my respect and my thanks. You two, and your two predecessors - are what the PGCA should be all about. You folks, just like Mary and myself - do it each day - and every day.
Others who profess the same? Well, not so much.
Again, my thanks, Dean,
John
