Looking at the results of the same poll regarding intercepting sears, it would seem a Parker is almost 2 1/2 times more likely to double fire on the first shot than an Elsie. Sample size is almost identical, overall reliability identical but the Elsie shooters report a great number of firings on closing the gun. Scott Kittredge, Bob Fabian and I have had a Parker double. In my case a pair of 1 1/4 ounce Bismuth loads in 12ga Trojan. I killed a Greenhead but I sat on the bank of the bay immediately after looking to see if my index finger remained attached to my hand.
