A Parker BH Grade sold this past weekend at Pook & Pook Auctions for $6,000 + BP of 17 1/2%. Perhaps a good buy!

Well, with it's ex-EDM provenance, that would be a gift.... Why the gun's practically a star in and of itself, by golly!

Anybody that wants it can send me a check, I'll throw in the V grade barrels it currently sports as a gift. I'll even tell them what pages it's pictured on in "the books".

The pictures show it to be a real nice BHE. Someone got a great deal.

Now that's a Parker man's Parker! What a nice old gun.

John Dunkle should work on getting us two more emoticons - one green one for envy and another one drooling.

The two BHEs 12 that just sold at Julia's brought $9,000 each + BP and, in my estimation, was not in as good original condition as the one sold at Pook's. The Annie Oakley BHE 12 brought $22,000.

Just My Humble Opinion......George

The Julia gun that seemed to go above the estimates with no trouble was the field used VHE .410 Skeet. $32,000, twice what the Turnbull .410 sold for. Maybe we should take our Parkers hunting more often.

It seems a well used, all original, Parker will out sell a Turnbull by quite a bit
all day long.

It's got a hell of a nice piece of wood on it, and the prettiest dainty little straight grip you ever saw. Of course you go much further forward and it ain't so good. Though obviously it kills rails, or did when I still shot it.

Is that a rail skiff? How about a full view photo Destry. I looks like it may be a handful for the pole person. How long are the barrels on that 12 gauge railbird gun?

It seems a well used, all original, Parker in high condition will out sell a Turnbull by quite a bit
all day long.

David, (with a tiny edit) I agree completely.

Bill,

Nah, that's a Carolina Skiff, that's what they use down around Wachapreague for rails. Those are the 28 inch barrels on that gun, the ones that are apparently paper thin. It's got 26 inch on it now, though I've not had a chance to try them out.

Here's a pic of Milton Stranton my pusher hard at work:

A few years back I perchased a delgreco GHE-12 Its been restocked with D quality wood and fully refinished. It was done in 2003-4 I also received all the recepts for the work that totaled back then just short of 4K. I perchased that gun from Safari outfitters for 4050.00 shiped. The very first round of five stand the stock became loose and required my attention with some quality scew drivers....all better now. The gun has mordern dementions and is very nice...would rather it was original worn finish....)-:
