Wow is right !

I saw quite a few I'd like to have and just about all of what I liked I cannot afford :crying:

He has a few 10s on #6 frames and quite a few 8s, one of them on a #7 frame. Hefty shotguns! I am headed there tomorrow, amidst the -30 windchill and flurries. Brrrr!

I must have missed those tens on #6 frames. Are they in the ad?

Thanks, now I see the notation about the frame size. I missed it before. Not a bad price for that scarce a gun.

And it has decent dimensions.

Nice selection to look at....but the prices!....is it known whether this seller has a lot of wiggle room in his sticker prices?....I mean, almost $7,000 for a refinished 12 gauge P grade...does anyone think its possibly worth even half that?

And $4200 for a refinished Lefever A grade 16 gauge (the fancy Nitro Special type of A grade)....hard for me to think of those as sound investments, but maybe I'm missing something.

Justin, I don't read anything in Puglisi's listing of this gun that even remotely suggests it is a refinished gun. To my eye it could be 99% new condition.

Sure looks like some one got to the barrel band engraving.

Maybe, but I really doubt it. It definitely looks refinished to me, and done by the same shop that did some of the others listed judging from the case colors, which look very similar. For example, compare this Lefever A grade's refinish to the colors and especially the bluing hue on the Parker P grade:

Just too similar to be a coincidence in my mind. I would also think that if these 90 year old guns were showing 99% ORIGINAL finishes, that fact would have been prominently advertised in the descriptions, and it isn't. That being said, the refinishing is top shelf, maybe even by Turnbull, but I can't imagine how the fair market value could approach those two sticker prices.

Mr. P advertises his guns and some of them sell right away and some of them sit in the ad for years. The customer has to separate the good from the bad. There is usually plenty of time to get good advice.

If you look at the sales rack on his site, you will see a nice 10ga C grade hammer gun with bernard steel barrels for 7000.00, and several lifters Looks like some good deals to be had!
