Just hoping to get a little learning. (Aint got no learning - from King of the Hill)
I know it's a double barrel 12 Ga, Size 2 Frame, Damascus, 1889.
I was looking at the technical info page, it has an E stamped on the watertable where the grade mark should be. Also has a J, D, 11 and 5 stamped on the flat area where the v is shown on the tech page. And one other thing, there is a small metal, what is shaped like a police badge on the bottom of the stock. Just wondering if someone can help me out.
Thanks,
The New Guy

The Parker Story is the gold standard on what you're asking. "police badge" is a shield for initials 7 3 may be weight. But look at The Parker Story. It will give it all

Steve, Are you sure its a 12 gauge gun? An "E" stamped on the water table would indicate a 10 gauge gun. Unless of course this gun had an extra set of 12 gauge barrels fitted to it.
Could you post some good quality pictures of the gun and its markings?

Give us the serial number and we will try to tell you a bit more about what you have.

Yes sir, you are correct. Dropped a 12 GA shell in a barrel and it's a mighty sloppy fit.
See, I was right. " I know nothing " (Schultz)

Tried to get close up pictures but all I get is blur. Someone lost my good camera. Now, I'm not saying the wife did it. Just someone. I'll try to get a handle on this new miniature camera later when I get a chance.
Thanks all you guys.

if the new "miniature" camera is digital there are a couple things to try -
if you are trying to get close ups - find the macro focus option - should be an icon that looks like a flower.
if its not a focus issue- it is sometimes hard to push the button on a real little camera and hold it steady. try the timed shutter. set the timer - push the shutter and then hold the camera steady until the shutter trips -on a tripod is better but you should be able to brace on something.
just a couple thought -
