The PGCA would like to continue displaying at the Pheasant Fest. This years Pheasant Fest is in Kansas City, MO February 17-19. Pheasants Forever and the PGCA have built a solid working relationship.
We would like to find a few PGCA members that are willing to display some guns, assist Ed Morgan in selling raffle tickets, sign up new members, and be ready to answer questions about Parker shotguns for the weekend. It is a fun event and our organization gets wonderful exposure here.
We wish to thank Charlie Herzog and Bruce Day for taking the lead on the displays and for sharing their knowledge at this event over the past few years. It has become a great place for the PGCA to sign up new members and sell raffle tickets.
If you are interested in working on this display, please contact me or Dave Suponski for details and arrangements.

We sincerely hope some PGCA members step up and volunteer their time for this very worthy event. It isn't hard to do. It just takes some dedication to give of your time and make a good showing for the PGCA. I'm sure both Bruce and Charlie can give you all the suggestions and recommendations that you will need and they will answer any questions you may have regarding logistics of displaying at this event. It will take at least two volunteers - more might be better - and you will have a great time there!!

I volunteered. Going to bring my AHE 20 gauge and another Parker or two.
Josh told me if I would volunteer Bruce Day would personally paint my house, iclududing scraping and sanding. What a Deal!
Josh said the free house painting by Bruce was available to everbody that showed up and helped.
Best,
Mike

Sounds like the team is coming together.
For those of you that enjoy the PGCA, the best way to show your support is to volunteer at an event like this one, or the Southern SXS, or the Annual meeting, etc. Thanks!
PS- Gary- I will have some info on the Southern in the next several days.

After a little arm twisting and some rejuvenation from burn out, Charlie Herzog and I have decided to do the Pheasant Fest again. We always need 20-30 Parkers of various grades and gauges. Ed Morgan comes to sell raffle gun tickets and will display this years prize. Mike Shepard of Amarillo, TX, Cal Humburg of Ness City, KS and Lee Moege of Holton KS have agreed to be there and staff the booth. We usually have 20,000 to 26,000 through Pheasant Fest and the PGCA display has continuously been cited on visitors reports and in media as one of the most interesting. Charlie Herzog was a TV star one time after they made him fluff up and comb his hair. So, we will have a bunch of Parkers there that a person would rarely get to see except in pictures.

Here is a photo of the booth in the St Paul 2008 show. We'll have a lot of Parkers including the John Browning Parker again. Bunch of high grades, A, B, my C Bernard collection, lots of small gauge also. Lots of guns that don't get hauled to the east coast PGCA events and that a person would probably never see anyplace else. Probably have close to 30 guns there.

Thanks Bruse. We hope to hear great reports about the 2012 Pheasant Fest along with a nice feature article for the next issue of Parker Pages.
Thanks to all who will be putting the PGCA booth together and manning it for the show.
