I picked up some Parker project guns one being a D grade 12 with cut barrels that were 32 but now 30 5/8 and no fore end and a VH 12 that is all there except no stock but the right barrel will not cock when opened and it looks like all parts are in it but was wanting info on what might be wrong. Thanks Thomas

Dear Geezer:
If you must ask this forum why the tumbler of your VH will not stay cocked, I fear that the project you've chosen may be a bit beyond your abilities.
My guess would be that the tumbler notch is rounded... or the crank is out of time. Both would require disassembly to confirm.
With all due respect, the gun appears decent enough to warrant a responsible restoration.

With all due respect Kensal Rise: All I did was pose a question and I don't believe that I stated that I was going to repair the problem myself. This is a great forum for that and I Don't normally get a responce questioning my abilities. You might want to get up out of your chair and readjust your underwear because somthing is binding. Thomas

Yeah, then maybe there is an issue on the front of that sear or on the hammer. I can't think of much else it could be. Let us know what you find once you get into it.
