i am looking at purchasing a parker by cant find anything on it in the serialization book other than the year it was made. the serial number is 182434. the person who owns it dont know anything about it. the pic i have wont upload to the site. i can email it if anyone is interested.

Well, there are records on it and you can purchase a letter on it. Pictures would help us help you!
I suggest you go to the www.parkerguns.org (http://www.parkerguns.org) page and look at the link "Parker Grades" on the left side of that page. That should get you an ID. Also, look at the link "Parker Identification" and if you also look at the "FAQ" link make sure to see the bottom of the FAQ section and you will find a video that walks you through posting pictures to this forum.
Also, your user name should be your real name as you register. Then you can create a cryptic user name, this help us provide better security.

If you use Windows then you have "paint" on it. Watch the video. It is in the Accessories folder and it is easy to use.

About all we can tell you is that it is a Parker Trojan made early in 1919.
The Trojan was the entry level Parker, being the lowest grade... in fact, it wasn't even graded. The VH was the lowest grade being a 0-Grade. The Trojan was simply noted as the "OV". In the Serialization book it is denoted as "J".
