Wilber Parker. Many of us were able to tour this wonderful victorian home that is now owned by Sherwin Borsuks back in 2003 at the Parker Homecoming in Meriden. Sherwin's home is a treasure trove of Parker memorabilia. I distinctly remember an original squirll poster framed on the wall of the master staircase. That was a great weekend thanks for posting the photo Bruce.
Another interesting fact is that off to left of the picture through a short strip of woods is the Meriden East Cemetary where the Parker family is buried.

Actually Bruce pictured the Jedehiah Wilcox house built in 1870. A shrewd Yankee industrialist we know and love picked it up at auction in 1874. In 2003 we toured Wilber F. Parkers house --

I especially liked the framed collection of Parker employee longevity pins including the 50 year pin with the small diamond in the center.

Both houses were bought at auction from the Wilcox family??? I had heard that the big house was acquired that way, but the Wilbur Parker house also?

No. Only the big house was bought at auction. Wilber's house was built by Charles Parker for Wilber and Lizzie when they married.
