Bruce, Are those all factory original stocks? Do you know the grade of gun each stock is on? Would make a nice reference as to the type wood parker used on different grades.

yes, all original Parker stocks
1-5 A
6 $200 grade
7,8 C
9,10 D
11 GHE 20ga 32".

All except the G ( black walnut) are Circassian. The C has particularly nice wood for its grade.

Here is B wood:

Here's a GH stock cleaned up by Mr. Washburn at the time Dr. Gaddy refurbished the barrels, receiver and metal.

Mr Washburn is an accomplished craftsman, although now in his 80's and not taking on new work. Here is his personal Trojan done by him, apparently for the enjoyment of work.

Nice wood, Dave. Isn't that the repro you had restocked with black?

Dave Fuller

The repro is not restocked but I did strip off the poly-whatever finish and refinished it with oil (restocking might have been easier -haha). It could be mistaken for black, it has a different look than most.

Very nice. You have made an attractive gun even nicer.
