Greetings from Raleigh, NC. I recently obtained a Parker Trojan and for the life of me cannot figure out how someone could lose the forearm. I have been trying to find one but no luck so far. I have one but I think it is for a different Parker. I must admit that I do not know much about these guns, the only other double I have is a Remingtion 1839 with demascus barrels. Anyway, that's my delima and am looking forward to reading about different problems and solutions.:bigbye:

Yeah, Trojan forends are not prone to falling off, thats for sure.

Keep an eye out, you might find one. However one issue with forends is finding one for the right frame size. They are not marked, so you need to go by width measurment.

Is the otehr forend you have the style with the exposed latch? A graded parker forend could be fitted to a trojan with some modification of the attaching lug. But I would make that a last resort.

Need to add more info, the serial number is 211983 and according to website was made in 1925. I think the frame is 1/2 but not sure. I was thinking of modifing the forearm but is does not fit that well so will keep looking. The other markings on the barrel and watertable are <P> NT over A , OV , 2 and what I think is 1/2 but it may be 12. My other problem is I don't know what the forearm looks like so not sure what to look for at the Gun show.

What guage is the gun? The frame size will be stamped on the bottom of the locking lug. If it is a 12g. It will be a 1 or 2. Not sure if they made Trojans in 1-1/2 size.

If I get the chance I will post a picture of my Trojan forend for you. It would look just like the graded forends, just without the latch.

This thread http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5492 has a nice series of pics for a Trojan. The forearm images are not full but you get the idea. Main difference is that there is no visible metal latch or tip. Little likelihood of accidentally losing a Trojan forend by "falling off" that's for sure. Misplacing is another story. :)

Brian, 12 gauge Trojans came on a 2 frame only.

Been down this road once. Excellent condition 16 guage trojan missing the forend. Found the metal from a hammer gun that fit the frame. Numrich had all the other parts but the spring. A buddy with a machine shop fit it together for me. He could not find a strong enough spring, so got the heaviest he could get. Had a stock maker rewood gun. Gun is definately not original, but salvaged from the parts bin.

The completed forend looks identical to the trojan original. Found out the only difference is in the spring loaded box that holds forend in place. The forend metal is serial 55000 and the trojan is 200000. Surprised me they were that interchangable. Pictures for me are a chore and the gun is way to common to get excited about. Forgot to mention the old iron had some engraving, but is hardly noticable. Dave

Checked the barrels and it is a #2 frame 12 guage
