I just got my 28 ga. 28" ic & mod. 0 frame barrels from Tony- Galazan and took them to my gunsmith, Carter's gun shop and with very little work, they snapped right on. I will be shooting these barrels this weekend. They did a great job on these barrels. Thank you Tony. Frank

Frank, This is indeed good news. How is the fit at the dolls head?

The gun smith had to take a very little off the new barrel doll head to make it fit. very little. Thanks, Frank

Great Frank, please post some clear close up pic's for everyone especially the top rib where it makes contact with the receiver and the bbl. flats. T.

It's lovely when you have to take metal off at the doll's head instead of putting metal on.

How do these Galazan barrels affect the balance and feel of the gun as compared to how it is with the original barrels?

I thought thesze 28 ga barrels were nolonger available from Galazan? I would have bought a VHE 20 ga recently if I new I could get a set of new barrels for this small frame, please let me know if you can still buy them, thanks Dale Z!

Frank:
Did you fit these barrels to an original Parker or a repro? If original, how did the forearm fit up? I've had my Galazan 28-bore barrels for about five months, fitted to an original VH gun, and I am very pleased.

Dale: Galazan has "withdrawn the offer" to make more of these.

Well if I ever get my .410 barrels that are to be fitted to my 28 Ga repro they will be a rare set.

Guys, the gun is having a recoil pad put on it now, 13 1/2" pull is a little short. As soon as I get it back, I will post pics and let you know how it shoots. The forearm was fitted by my gunsmith with little work and fits fine. This was an original Parker 20 ga. "o" frame. Can't wait to shoot it but I wanted it done right. Thanks, Frank P.S. I ordered these barrels in Feb. '11 and well worth the wait.

Frank:
My reason to inquire over the forearm was that my barrels were fitted with a loop appropriate to the repro guns. I had to send them back to have the loop base milled down so the original forearm would close up. Also a 0 frame gun for me. However, CSMC did a fine job and I couldn't be happier. My wait was about 19 months.

Like some others, I'm still waiting on the .410 barrels for the 28g repro. I think I ordered in early 2010 or late 09.
