I have a question for the Parker experts, as I have only been a member for the past year and am still learning the “nuances” of what makes a parker desirable, and what does not. An auction just ended last night on Gunbroker where a re-finished 12 gauge VHE Skeet gun with all the factory bells and whistles sold for $3500 with only one bid. I had emailed the seller with a question on the gun and he indicated to me he expected to get north of $7500 for the gun. Why did this gun sell for so little, when I see VHE Skeet guns going for at least twice that amount? Is it the re-finish? Thanks, Steve

Auction "red flag" ,only one bidder, often indicates an undisclosed problem or major alteration from "original".

Apparently a Del Grego redo that the seller was willing to sell for $3500. It is a nice refinished gun, well worth the selling price, or more. No apparent problem with the gun other than the refinish, the checkered cheeks, and rather rough finishing on the inside of the forend.

The gun was totally refinished and not well. The stock is way to light and the checkered side panels could be covering a pinned stock. Barrel flats don't show Skeetin/Skeetout Nice shooter and sold for what a nice shooter should sell for.

This gun will be up for sale rather soon I suspect, as the sell is a dealer out of Fl.
