I cannot open my 20g. I have proper screwedrivers etc. but I need disassembly procedure. It use to be somewhere here. I have the screws out of the bottem plate and the trigger guard off but bottem plate does not lift. Any help would be appreciated. RD:)

Richard,
Merely tap the underside of the trigger plate with a small wooden dowel through the top open section of the receiver. It should come right out.

There is a tang screw under the top lever that needs to come out as well.

I leave the trigger guard bow on and will wiggle it to coach the bottom plate out.

Thanks for the help. I have been successfull. The top lever was just clearing the screw below it enough to get to it however as I started to remove the screw the gun opened. I had, to that point, not realized the top screw had to come out to remove the bottem plate. (1st disassembly). RD

We take the forend and barrels off before we disassemble the receiver. Learning is part of the drill. Good luck

Harry: The forend was off and the problem was the gun wouldn't open. Thanks, RD

If you take it outside and point in a safe direction pull both triggers. This will often let you open the gun.

The gun had 2 spent shells in it. The triggers wouldn't move. Thanks Harry
