GOT THE URGE TO PURCHASE A NEW MEC SUPER SIZER BUT GOT A QUESTION BEFORE I DO.

IS THERE A WAY TO ADJUST THE COLLET TO ALLOW IT TO MAKE A TIGHTER OR LOOSER GRIP ON THE METAL? CAN YOU SQUEEZE THE BRASS/STEEL MORE OR LESS WITH AN ADJUSTMENT? I HAVE SHELLS THAT I HAVE PUT THOUGH THE RESIZING RING ON MY 600JR AND 650 AND THE BRASS IS STILL SEPERATED (NOT FLUSH) WITH THE PLASTIC AND SOMETIMES THESE WILL BECOME HARDER TO EJECT OUT OF MY CHAMBER (PARKER) AND CYCLE OUT OF MY AUTO/PUMP GUNS (REM,WIN,BERR).

THANKS TO ALL...

GOOD SHOOTING

Keith, Yes the Super Sizer is adjustable within a pretty good range. Just don't adjust it so much that the collet bottoms out. Also the Supper Sizer collets can be bought for the different gauges and used on your existing machine.

The size of the resized shell is limited by the "bottomed out" collet fingers. Also, dirt, powder, or shot will keep the collet fingers from coming together. You have to keep it real clean. I load on a Ponsness-Warren and have for about 45 years. There is nothing to clean, and a shell that goes into the P-W sizer comes out only one size. I have used MECs from time to time and have had occasional problems with certain guns that would not take those collet sized shells, mostly .410s.

I'm looking to get the metal flush with the plastic.

Perhaps when I get the unit I will purchase some calipers and find out which ones are sticking and adjust the sizer accordingly.

Keeping all my equipment clean is a must. If the family member who taught me how to reload taught me anything he taught me to keep it clean like a surgons table. For sometimes I do feel like I am performing surgury. Call me Doctor Keith.
