......a Parker Bros. with fluid steel barrels! I just happened upon a 1929 vintage Trojan 20 gauge with 28" barrels, almost all the blue and tons of case colors. The bores are the smoothest and shiniest I have ever seen. Screw heads are indexed with precious little, if any, evidence of being turned. She weighs 6-1/2 pounds and comes to the shoulder like a dream. Sigh.....!

Congratulations Mark! A wonderful gun. I have a 20 gauge Trojan with 26" barrels at 6 lbs. 4 oz. It's a refinished hunting gun and not in the fantastic condition yours is but it's a great gun to carry all day and a pa'tridge getter. You will come to love your new gun!

Thanks, Dave. I wonder how many 20 gauge Trojans were made.

Hmmm...about 16%, give or take, of the 33,000 total. Survivability of an entry level gun, after 82 years, in this condition...? I think she's a keeper! I found residue of paste wax in the trigger guard and absolutely no filth in the linkage exposed at the water table. Either the gun was serviced by the dealer, or the last owner was very meticulous.

A Trojan is the perfect field gun - one that you're not afraid to take out in the weather and give it a good work-out. They'll do everything an A1S will do, including making us drool a bit admiring its condition. Congratulations!

Very Nice!

I'm getting to the point where I appreciate a high condition entry level gun as much or more than the higher grade ones. Simply for the fact that the lower tier guns were user guns that got hunted hard.

Finding a Trojan in this condition is a great find indeed!

Congratulations!!!!

A Parker Trojan- if it is in this near Mint and well cared for condition is a rare find- I think it's safe to say that 90% of the Trojans, VH and PH proof steel guns Parker Bros. made were "ridden a tad hard and then put up wet" so indeed, congratulations on this fine 20 bore. Seems to me I read, years ago, that the Pres. of the Company that contracted the deal for the Japanese mfg. Parker Repros was a great admirer of the Parker- but used Trojan grade Parkers for his hunting trip afield- Enjoy it, it was made to be used and cared for- sorta like having your cake and yet enjoying a slice at the same time-:bigbye::bigbye:
