What do you think of the figure? I've seen some nice Repro. wood, but I like this one a lot. It's a 16/20 ga. set on G.I., but very steep at $9500. Does have a DT though. If it had a 14 3/4" L.O.P. I'd be sorely tempted to make an offer. On the phone he said the 28 ga with 28" bbls. he has listed sold 1/2 hour after he put it on G.I.! He told me it measured IC/Mod.! I nearly choked . Then I asked him what was stamped on the barrel flats. Mod/Full.... I wonder if a 28 ga. ever came from the factory ordered with 28" IC/Mod bbls.

It does have nice figure.

It also appears that the 20-ga. barrels are 28" long, sets such as this are usually seen with the smaller gauge more open choked . . . so it begs the question: Could the 20-ga. barrels possibly be factory choked Q1/Q2 or IC/M?

I would rule out Q1 & Q2 on a set of 28" barrels. I have a set choked that way but it's exteremly rare.

I recently sold a 20-ga., 28", factory choked Q1/Q2 Repro. Rare indeed, but more likely to be encountered in a 2-bbl. set than a single gun--at least in my experience.

Mine is a DHE 20 ga. two bbl set too. Straight grip, single trigger, BTFE, 26" Q1 & Q2, 28" Q1 & Q2. A dedicated Skeet Gun.

My 16-20 is also choked Q1-Q2 on both barrel sets. That's why I added a set of the Galazan 16ga barrels to it and had them opened to IC/Mod constrictions to make it a more versitile gun for all occations.

As far as the gun mentioned in this thread.

It is wearing a very nice stick of wood for sure, but in my opinion it's way overpriced for the current market. Most of the 16/20 combo's that have sold in the last year have gone for $7500.00 or less. Nice wood, but it it worth an extra two grand??

:cool:Maybe I'll contact the seller to ask if he'll sell the wood seperately....

I agree with the above listing, way over priced. Nice wood for sure and double triggers are a plus, but priced too high in today's market.
