Good morning Parker friends.

A friend of mine picked up this nicely restored 3 frame, DH, 12 gauge with 32 inch barrels #97468. Any information on 3 frame 12 gauges would be of interest to me. I know they’re not common but they are out there.

Regards.

3 frame 12ga Parkers are uncommon but a great waterfowl gun every bit as capable as a Super Fox in my opinion. I own CHE 32" example. Had it out hunting geese on the Platte river last year shooting Kent TM 1 3/8oz shells

I picked up a PH wreck 3 frame 12 and put the barrels on a Ph 3 frame that was a 10 now it goes both ways.

Very nice. I checked the Home Page Research Letters pick and there are records available on 97468 for a PGCA letter. Might be interesting to see if it was ordered with long chambers.

I had three 3 frame 12’s at one point . A 32” DH , 32” VH and a factory 28” DH .

I love my 3 frame DHE 12. I use it for waterfowl and occasional clays. It's a beast. I would love to find a set of 10 gauge barrels to make composed set. Your friend's looks very nice.

Rick, I was looking for a set of #3 frame barrels for a gun in my collection and bought every nice condition #3 frame ten gauge Damascus gun I could find until I found a set of barrels that would fit my gun. I found a nice one, but now I can't even remember what gun I was searching for barrels for. But now I own way more #3 frame ten gauges than I will ever shoot. This whole Parker collecting sickness is yes, a sickness.

I bought a high condition #3 frame BH with cut off Damascus barrels and a less than acceptable restock. I couldn't resist it because it is a Worlds Fair gun, loaded up with original color. I remembered that a vendor at a not so recent show had a set of #3 frame ten gauge Titanic Steel barrels with forend. I located that vendor at the Baltimore Show a couple of years later and he still had those barrels. They are now on my BH without any gunsmithing. They are not #3 frame 12 gauge barrels, but they are still a great outfit.

I got this 3 frame DH 12 gauge with 32" Titanic barrels several years ago and about 15 years ago Keith Kearcher cleaned it up for me. It's a great hunting gun and I do shoot some targets with it occasionally. It weighs 8lbs 10oz.

A nine pound VH 32" F/F 3 frame for the win in Fall '24. Built in 1900, a DelGrego redo and not perfect but good enough for me. A lot of barrel swamp.

The Brothers P did lots of interesting things with weight and balance. My 1889 vintage 2-frame, 12-gauge, 32-inch, weighs a bit over nine pounds with barrels with virtually no "swamp."

3 frame 12 gauges are underrated. I have two
