I recently discovered an L. C. Smith site by a fellow named Jerry Andrews. Mr. Andrews had posted that he was not on the site due to being in the hospital.
Yesterday, Mr. Andrews' nephew posted that his Uncle Jerry passed away on Thursday.
Mr. Andrews seemed to be well thought of by those that had dealings with his working on, and restoration of fine shotguns.
I thought this might be of interest to those of us that appreciate such things.

Jerry was an excellent gunsmith and a true gentleman. I previously dealt with Jerry for 15 years with Elsie's and Parker's. He always had a positive attitude and free with good advice. He was also a country music fan and performed locally for years. I'm going to miss our chats. God Bless his family and Rest in Peace my friend.

I had read that he had a Bluegrass group.
Unfortunately, I never had the chance to communicate with him.

I am really sorry to hear that Jerry has passed. He helped me on several occasions both with smithing and advice. He was a real gentleman who leaves a large void in the S x S world.
