Hello,

I am brand new to the site, and I recently acquired a Parker shotgun from my wife's grandfather and made my way to this site. I do not know really anything about the firearm or if it is legit. I have attached some images and was looking for any information anyone is willing to give. I am new to all things antique firearms, so I don't feel comfortable taking it apart at all. So these are the only markings I could visibly find that were not hidden. I know the gun is not in the best condition, but I just want a little information. I'm also hoping my images were uploaded correctly.

Thank you in advance to anyone who responds or even reads this.

Pasquale, your gun is not a Parker Bros shotgun, rather an import likely from Belgium. Not much value and may serve best as a wall hanger/conversation piece.

It is not a Parker gun that is the subject of this collectors association (Parker Brothers of Meriden, CT USA).

There appears to be a Birmingham proof mark, and the gun was once of higher quality than the typical Belgian 'Parker' knockoff

We will need full size close up images of every mark on the barrel flats and just forward of the flats, and the action flats. There may be a maker's mark.

Certainly no attempt should be made to use the gun, but after cleaning the external surfaces it should be hung to honor your wife's grandfather. You might squirt epoxy in the firing pin holes to disable the gun permanently.
