226 868 serial, I am
out of town and dont have my Parker books
It's in good condition, but has be used a lot
32 in barells, White line Packmare
Pad, if anyone is near their book
How did it leave Parker Bros.?
O, I thumped the barrel and it vibrates
Rather than rings like a double
Is this normal???
Thanks for any reply
Pat

226868 left the factory with 32" bbl and ejectors and capped pg

It did not leave Parker with a Pachmayr pad.

“Vibrates”?? Like a buzz indicating a loose rib?

That's what I was wondering? If so, this would be a walk away gun for me. I've just been down that road to many times to want to travel it again.

Or it could be the ejectors…
Try it again with the forend off.

Vent rib could be the reason it vibrates instead of rings.

Asa Kelley took the forearm off to check barell
He held it up by breach end and thumped it, no ring he did it again
And again no ring. But it vibrated the length of the barell
Like touching a bee
We did it several times, bussed or vibrated
For a few seconds no matter where we felt
Thanks for all the help, I told the owner I had access to good information
And I told him I already had one
Made in last days of 1941
Thanks to all
