I am unable to find a Greener crossbolt gun disassembly instruction anywhere. There is a video on Youtube by Devonshire gunsmith showing partial disassembly but I find no complete video or narrative on the subject.

Contact Greener directly and tell them what you want/need to do.

That may be a solution.Checked The Gun and its Development by Greener,a 1900 greener catalog from Cornell publishing , various Youtube videos (with some information there) as well as several forums catering to older British guns. There was a reference to a book, The Greener Story.

Hugh,

I have the book The Greener Story. I just thumbed through and didn’t see anything showing dissembly of the FP. There are some diagrams of patents.

Found a PDF copy of Modern Shotguns by Greener on the net. That text is much like The Gun and Its Development in the modern guns section. This is a gun action with worldwide distribution but amazingly there is not an immediately available assembly tutoral.I will try to contact Greener gun company.

Does anyone have a clear scan of the cocking and assembly instructions included in Facile Princeps gun cases?

Hugh,

I’m not sure this is what you are trying to find. This article shows the label on the inside of a Greener case.

Graham Greener preaches that a FP should only be worked on at the Greener factory.

I communicated with Graham Greener and he sent a more current owners instruction for the gun.I think Bill Murphy's advice is correct. There are some articles on restoring function to these. They need expert care. They are a wonderful gun but not a hobbyist project. Mr Greener is a wonderful gentleman and a credit to the rich heritage of his company.
