This DHE stock was needing some help, the tiny bottle of Timberluxe was delivered and fixed her up nicely. Good lighting, some 2500 grit and my finger brought out the hidden beauty. A bit of overrun, still need to clean out the checking. That ancient Mershon pad couldn’t get any harder. I have a solid “Noshoc” that I may replace it with.
Anyhow, a big shout out for Timberluxe.

I wonder if anyone here knows what ingredients make up Timberline finish. The results with it sure looks a lot like results that can be obtained with a 50/50 mixture of Marine Spar Varnish and pure Tung Oil.

Intentionally not finished to the highest degree, this DHE was brought back from the deepest pit of gloom. Perhaps Marble Cake? It’s a 32” 1-1/2 frame. Just another favorite of mine that has remarkable wood.

The No Shoc pad will cure all your ills. However, keep in mind that some very late Remington Parkers were equipped at the factory with Mershon pads. This is my opinion more than anything I learned from Parker records.
