After owning this gun for 50 years I have finally retired and have time to look into it. It seems my gun has a stock that has an 8 on it and the barrel a 7, the barrel is also marked with the Parker Pearless logo. Both have the same serial number. I figure someone on the site will know.

Show us a picture of the full barrel flat under the right barrel which is where the grade stamp would normally be. Or you can just look I suppose. Is there possibly an 8 stamped there?

Holy Hoarding Batman, you've had that for 50 years and are now looking into it.

Rlch; you’ve gotta show us the wood on that gun and all the engraving. This is too much suspense. Good, square on pictures are what would be appreciated. No goofy angles. And while you’re at it the engraved skeleton butt on that as well.

I have recorded quite a few guns with a one-, two- or three-digit number on the left barrel flat where your gun has the 7.

136450

136451

136452

136453

Very likely no one left alive knows the meaning of these numbers.

Magnificent gun, sir!

In your other post I suggested you write an article for Parker Pages.
You, the PGCA, this gun, and all the members here, would be honored by that!

I am not sure what you mean by to late S/N?

I am not sure what you mean by to late S/N?

That means the gun was made late enough in the records history that it falls into the serial number range where we do not have the Order Books. The Stock Book will tell of the data that was recorded when the gun was made, but nothing of who ordered the gun, when it was ordered or where it was shipped.
