Now this is how you run a shoot....just got this email :

SCHEDULING

The Sporting Clays event (120 targets) will be held on Saturday, June 18. The Pigeon Ring event (2x15 targets) will be held on Sunday, June 19. The Flurry (76 targets) will be held both days, but each entrant will only shoot it one of those days. Each shooter will be assigned a specific time for shooting each event. This avoids any waiting, and allows you to plan your day since you will know where you have to be and when. We do run on time. If there are times you will not be able to shoot due to travel arrangements or other commitments, please notify us immediately, and we will try to accommodate you. Otherwise, we will assume you are able to shoot any event at any time between 9 am and 4:30 pm Central time. You will receive your individual schedule in your registration packet to be picked up at the event.

ABOUT THE EVENTS

You will shoot one 120-round Sporting Clays events, at either 9:30 am or 1 pm. Your registration information will tell you which station you start on, so there is no waiting. NO MATTER WHAT STATION YOU START ON, YOU WILL SHOOT AT ALL 10 STATIONS.

The Flurry will be 76 targets in 2 1/2 minutes. You may use as many guns, loaders, stuffers as you wish, but only one shooter.

The Pigeon ring is a below-ground trap, rotating 360 degrees, surrounded by a fence. The targets have a ribbon attached to them and you must break the target so that the ribbon lands within the fence. You are allowed two shots per target. There are two rings, and you will shoot them back-to-back. You will be assigned a station to shoot from and you must use it, because the scoresheets are preprinted with each entrants name and station.

If you switch shooting times with any other shooter YOU MUST INFORM THE SCORER OF THAT EVENT(S). Otherwise, you will be incorrectly scored.

SIDE EVENTS AND OPEN SHOOTING

In addition to the various exhibits and demonstrations, a number of side events will be available to occupy you. Each time you shoot a side event, you will receive a raffle ticket for two prize guns. A special side event, the RST Two-Shooter Flush, will be held both days, and the top three teams will receive special trophies donated by RST.

There will be open shooting from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 17 if you care to come early to practice.

AMMUNITION

Shells will be available for sale by RST and perhaps other vendors. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own. The three competition events will require a minimum of 226 shells, and obviously you will need more for broken targets, side events, etc.

MEALS

Your entry fee includes Continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and the banquet dinner and open bar on Saturday evening. Lunch will be available for purchase on the grounds from 11:00 to 3:00.

I'm really upset that I can't make it this year. :crying:
I know you guys are going to have a Great Time.
I'll be thinking of you all, drive safely, and shoot lots of shells.

Dave you have a week to heal up then you can come for moral support and enjoy some adult beverages:)

If you just can't do it we understand and will miss a target(or three) in your honor and have a beer (ok 6 or 7) also in your name.

Steve does, indeed, run a very good show! I just got back and can report that everything ran as scheduled. In the entire event, I witnessed only one trap malfunction! This is a testiment to a very well run event. Lots of fun!
I have many thanks to all the members of the Segola Township Club for putting on a great show.
