I paid about $400 for mine.
Of course that was in 1977.
I know. I know. Nobody likes a smart ass.

I think your mistaking the boxlock for the sidelock.

I had a 20ga BSS sidelock, they were copies of a H&H sidelock, nice gun. Last 20ga BSS sidelock I saw was around $5000 asking price.

No. I am just providing the link, as an example. I am pretty sure that they are basing those values on the box lock. Moreover, I still question the source and validity of their data. But it is a place to start.

I think it’s safe to say you will be north of $5000.00 depending on condition. That is the side lock version and there are not that many of them around in 20 ga

I know this is going to be heresy on a Parker site, but my 20 gauge BSS is one of the quickest pointing guns I’ve ever shot. It does a number on the put out quail so common in my area nowadays.

I bought a NIB 12 26” sidelock at Clark Brothers in 86 or 87 for $1350 cash , I let it go several years after that LNIB in a trade deal and I figured I got about $3500ish for it . I’ve seen several in recent years 12 or 20 that were 5k or above .

It's worth what you are willing to give ! One of my favorite SXS is a 20ga boxlock Browning.
