so i have been shooting doubles all my life and i am currently 77yo.
always wanted a full set of doubles made in usa and had most but no parker.
couldn't afford the price of admission.
long story short, i helped my friend in his purchase of 2 early (1906/07)parkers that i heard about from a local dealer. he bought them both, with one being an ejector gun, both in 12ga.
saw an ad on gb for a parker at what i thought was a silly price and as a joke, bid on it. description and pics left a lot to be desired.
won the auction!
i now own my first parker, s/n145980. nice blued bbls (small dent left), minor nick in rib from falling over, small piece of wood missing at juncture of frame, and in otherwise excellent condition. fit and function perfect!
i do need to replace the two forward bottom plate screws as the heads are somewhat buggered. any help with the two screws would be appreciated.
thanks for a great website.

Congratulations on your VH 12 with 30" Vulcan Barrels and capped pistol grip manufactured in 1907 (+-). I'm sure there are others that could make you some screws but Lou Rotelli from this group has made several for me.

actually the bbls are 28" long and appear to be original to the gun, which has all matching numbers.

The serialization book indicates 30” but it’s not always accurate. If you provide a picture looking into the muzzle we could determine if the barrels have been cut.

I own two Parkers, a G grade 12 F and F and a C grade SBT 12 guage and a wonderful gun it is. I am a fool for old double shotguns so I own an LC Smith O grade, a Fox Sterlingworth, a Knickerbocker 20 (my dad's old gun), a Remy and a Hardy Bros percussion gun. I've got a couple of Model 12s. If I could have only one....the Fox.

barrels are actually 30". add and 4473 listed it as 28".
always better to chk.
now at ancient woodworker having small piece put in that was missing at juncture of the butt and the receiver. he's amazing at matching wood that's very old. looking forward to shooting it soon. will make up the appropriate length shells and pattern it to see if any further work is needed.
