That is very SAD news!
I had hoped to do a special gun, maybe one to pass along at some point, Geoffrey was always the engraver I had envisioned would do the work.
He had done some repair work on a Grade 7 a few short years ago, was a true gentleman, very nice to deal with!
May you rest in peace Geoffrey

Lets all settle down for just a second and allow things to be corroborated. Edgar may have jumped the gun on putting something like this out there like this.

I certainly hope that it isn't true, but it did come from a reputable member. I hope I haven't upset anyone, but thought the membership would want to know

I, for one, am hoping it is not true. GEOFFROY is a great friend, even though we never got together on my "project". This would be a great tragedy in our little world. The Allentown Show and the Southern Side by Side will not be the same. So sad.

I just got off the phone with Geoffroy’s wife Virginie. And she confirmed the sad news that Geoffroy did in fact pass this morning. I do not know any details, I did not ask. I just wanted to convey my condolences and let her know that I was here to help out in any way that I could.
This is a very unexpected and significant loss to the community. I have been fortunate to have a great working relationship with him over the last 12 years.

I was wondering why he hadn’t replied to any of my recent emails…
What a devastating loss to our shooting and collecting community…
RIP Good Friend

Condolences to Geoffroy’s family. He had mad skills, but above all, he was such a nice guy. This is a huge loss to the SxS community.

Geoffroy was a true gentlemen and friend in addition to having extraordinary talent. Always welcoming, willing to do the smallest project, engrave a screw or trigger guard without hesitation. Discuss and share his most recent projects in his shop. He will be missed in our world and by his family very much. Condolences to his family.
RIP Geoffroy

Very sad news. I had written to him recently and not heard back. He was always very kind. A gentleman.
