Blocking posts I'm not interested in

Would it be possible to block posts that I'm not interested in? I spend a lot of time opening, then closing topics I'm not interested in. Would save me time, and let me focus on what I consider "The good stuff"

I ALWAYS begin my reading of the Forum by going to Quick Links and then to Today's Posts and weed out the ones I have no interest in by simply not opening them.

I click the “new posts” link and if the thread title intrigues me, I open it. Pretty simple.
