I looked at it and am not sure exactly what I saw. Pretty sure it's not really a Parker, but what the heck is it?

It’s a modified Trojan, forearm changed to a release vs. snap on, receiver reshaped, top rib modified…..quite the albatross.

That’s a wild ride and someone went to a lot of work for what reason? Be interesting to know the history behind that gun.

The seller says "It's a mistery". I've seen that rib somewhere, but don't know where. Eight thousand sales and doesn't own a bore micrometer. Just your average gun dealer.

5280 Armory is about three miles from my house. It's primarily a pistol-oriented gun shop and indoor shooting range along with specializing in black gun type rifles. What I'm surprised by is that they even have something like this modified Trojan in their shop, let alone have anybody that knows anything about vintage American SxS shotguns. As far as them having a bore mike, I doubt anyone there has ever heard of one, let alone would know how to use it.

Somebody went to a lot of effort to create this "mystery". Restocked, shaped the receiver, sleeved the barrels, A/D latch from European gun, as is the top rib and likely the sleeves.

This may have something to do with the lack of a bore micrometer Bill.

Looks like some amature was trying their hand at custom gun modifications.
And I'm sure it is a mystery to them...:)

I wonder if it was "recreated" in Europe... It has a Fabrique Nationale buttplate on it as well as some other european features.
Not a bad job really...

It does look to have spent time in Europe. The frame shaping is very Prussian looking. And the forend attachment is also European. And the FN buttplate, well…
Who knows what is up with the rib. With how everything looks you would think the barrels to be sleeved. But they dont look like it. No proof or import marks, which is odd if it were overseas.
And the checkering is totally Bodgered up. I would guess the checkering was not done by the same hand that did some of the other work.
I kind of dig a few things about it. Namely the frame reworking.
interesting for sure.

At first glance, I thought it was an "enhanced" Fox Pin gun!

Someone bought it. I have the nondescript letter if the buyer wants it.
